Wisdom of Sri Bhagavan

Doors in Consciousness

" There are many people - there are so many experiences in consciousness. The splendour of consciousness is infinite," says Sri Bhagavan. Imagine a huge mansion having countless doors; each opening to a new vista, so totally different from one another. The nature of consciousness is much the same. There are various doors to consciousness and each reveals a different facet of reality to the seeker. 'Oneness blessing' is the 'intelligent divine energy' that activates the various centres in the brain awakening the seeker to multifarious perceptions of reality.

The Door of Meditation

Most often we 'try' to meditate on something. By meditation we mean gathering our attention and focusing it on the object of meditation. When Oneness blessing opens this door, 'meditation happens'. An inner passivity and observation becomes a natural state of being. Walking, eating, listening, thinking, everything becomes an act of meditation.

The Door of Life Review

'Oneness blessing' can put you through a "life review" where you become the other and experience the pain caused to them. You also experience the various emotions that you have not confronted within yourself. Thereafter acceptance and connectedness become natural to you. The force of judgment weakens paving the way for the flowering of the heart and to a more sensitive experience of life.

The Door of Calmness

The 'Oneness blessing' puts you into a state of calmness where you are at peace with yourself and the world around you. The external world does not disturb your inner peace. Strife with life comes to an end.

Bliss

'Oneness Blessing' might also open the door of bliss where every sensory experience or experience in consciousness gives rise to bliss.

Expansion of Consciousness

'Oneness blessing' could take you through this door of compassion where your consciousness expands beyond the physical frame (body) and encompasses everything around. You start experiencing the pleasure and the pain of all beings within yourself.

Experiencing Reality Without the Interference of the Mind

The mind is constantly judging, commenting, and evaluating every experience. It either moves into the past or the future or makes you look at the present through those frameworks. The 'Oneness blessing' de-clutches the mind and makes you experience reality without its interference.

Witness

'Oneness blessing' puts you on the 'witness stand' where you no more are a 'participant' but you become the 'observer' to all experiences of life. There is no 'you' going through these experiences of life. The experiences alone exist.

Visiting Other Worlds

Consciousness is not bound by the limited frame called the body. It is beyond space and time. Oneness blessing opens this door where simultaneously you experience more than one reality. It shifts your centre of Awareness and lo behold! You are aware of other realms, without necessarily shutting down your senses or disfunctioning you.

Perceiving Reality as a Dream

A famous Chinese awakened master once said, 'I do not know if I am a butterfly dreaming that I am a human being or am a human being dreaming of a butterfly'. So many times we have wondered how real our dreams appear when we actually go through them. Just as all dreams are illusory, for the awakened reality appears as a dream. When Oneness blessing opens this door, you see everything as a dream in consciousness.

God Realization

This is coming face to face with God.

Sri Bhagavan's  Core Teachings: Enlightenment

1. There is only one Mind - the Ancient Mind. It is conditioned by separation and duality.

2. Your mind is not your mind, but an extension of this Ancient Mind.

3. Similarly, your thoughts are not your own thoughts, but downloaded from the 'thought sphere' associated with this Ancient Mind.

4. The sense of a separate self is generated by the neurobiological structure of the human brain.

5. This 'self', in experiencing itself as separate, generates cravings, aversions, comparisons and judgments, which are the core of suffering.

6. When the self disappears, suffering ends. When cravings drop away, including the craving for enlightenment, you are enlightened.

7. When the 'deeksha' is given, a neurobiological process begins, which leads to the dissolution of the sense of a separate, or fixed, self.

8. When the fixed self disappears, you experience yourself as simply a dance of personalities continually arising and passing away.

9. Your body is not your body. When the self disappears, your sense of ownership of the body disappears, and you experience it as a vehicle for the divine dance of consciousness. Eventually, all creation becomes your body.

10. The mind, based in duality, cannot be enlightened.

11. The self, which is an illusion, cannot be enlightened. The self is only a concept.

12. Enlightenment is the realization that there is no self to become enlightened!

Ten Winning Guidelines from Sri AmmaBhagavan

1. QUIT WORRYING:
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST:

Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to Me. And although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

3. TRUST ME:
Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in Me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on My list. Problem with finances? Put it on My list. Problems with your emotional roller coaster For My Sake put it on My list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE:
Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will be right back where you started? Leave them with Me and forget about them. Just let Me do my job.

5. TALK TO ME:
I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in control. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU! I want to hear your voice. I want you to include Me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with Me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH:
I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; you wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me. Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part - How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE:
You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do-list? Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

9. BE KIND:
Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF:

As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself. It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget....

The Root Cause of all Suffering

The absence of Love is the root cause of all problems, and the cause is not far away. It in fact lies within each individual. It is the inner condition of the individual that is resulting in the condition of the collective. Every endeavor in life is only a pursuit for love. As a child one was unhappy, because he, she, wanted someone to love him, her, alone. Later on the search continued in school with teachers, spouse, and then with ones children, so life has remained one long process of waiting. One often tests his, her, near and dear ones for what one calls real love, and lands up feeling dissatisfied and angry.

What people think of as love is merely asking, craving, and imploring for love. This “asking” for love is what one thinks is love. The consequence is frustration, annoyance and desperation.

Every individual has a void inside. To fill the void one uses relationships. The person constantly needs to feel loved whereby he, she tends to be possessive in relationships. Where love is possession there is always the fear of loosing it. One destroys his, her freedom and everybody else’s freedom. An act of fear is claimed to be love. The truth is people don’t love themselves and relationships is a means to love oneself. They try to fulfill themselves through relationships.

All love could only begin with love for oneself. Know that you could do only to others what you do unto yourself. Contemplating on it one would discover that the way one relates to oneself internally is exactly the way he, she relates to others. If an individual condemned and criticized himself for every thought, word or deed of his, he would certainly do the same to others also. If one was obsessed and disturbed with his, her own shortcomings, then he, she would trouble others as well about their shortcomings too. When one stops warring with oneself and accepts himself, herself as he, she is, then one is in love with oneself. One has made peace within and hence with the world. One would discover that love is the essence of this universe. It is ones true nature.

There are two primary needs that we all have – the need to love and the need to be loved.
